Today on the show, Bricia and Elizabeth talk about their weekend watching the absolutely incredible Disney Pixar movie, Coco and Bricia interviews the co-founders of People’s Yoga, Lauren Quan-Madrid and Leah Rose Gallegos.

Lauren and Leah met playing soccer with Futbolistas and bonded over conversations about yoga and the lack of access to yoga in their neighborhoods. In 2012, they started a mobile project, offering donation-based classes at local community spaces throughout the Eastside. In 2014, Lauren and Leah opened People’s Yoga studio, the first and only yoga studio in East Los Angeles. People’s Yoga is your local, family friendly, bilingual English y Español, community yoga studio for all levels and walks of life.

They talk to us about their passion of bringing yoga to communities who don't necessarily know what yoga is, to do yoga. We also asked them about how they got their business started from having zero business experience, how their using yoga to support their motherhood journey and how as new moms, they are shifting their business to incorporate their babies. They are changing the perception of who practices yoga and we absolutely love it.
